1% for the Planet is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Development department. As a Development Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting donor research, facilitating donor data entry in our fundraising database, and assisting with our annual Network Auction. Your dedication and efforts will provide critical insights and information necessary to secure funding in support of 1% for the Planet's mission. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the goals of 1% for the Planet while gaining hands-on experience in fundraising in the non-profit sector.
Key responsibilities
Research, verify and analyze biographical, financial, and philanthropic information on individual donors and prospects.
Support the 2023 Network Auction, with all proceeds raised benefitting 1% for the Planet
Prepare concise, in-depth profiles on donors for use by the 1% for the Planet Development Team
Supporting donor files, including key donor deadlines, logging donations, generating and sending donor acknowledgements, logging donor appreciation efforts
Monitor news on key donors and prospects.
Update information in the donor database.
Assist with projects related to research, prospecting, operations, and events.
